Join AEA for coffee, conversation, and a little sisterhood service! We’ll gather to write notes of encouragement to the Alpha Chi Omega sisters at the University of Maryland as they head into exams. We’ll have cards, colored pens, and pastries ready—just bring yourself and come spend a relaxed morning with sisters. No coffee required. 😉 Come for the latte, tea, matcha, pastry, sisterhood—or all of the above! We'll provide the cards; you provide the encouragement. ❤️💚
Secrets, sisterhood & a little 1950s intrigue! 🏡🔍 Join us for our November Capital Crimes Book Club as we discuss The Briar Club by Kate Quinn, a captivating story of secrets, friendship, and the extraordinary women living in a Washington, D.C., boardinghouse during the McCarthy era. Behind the doors of Briarwood House, nothing is quite as it seems—and the bonds formed around a weekly dinner table prove that sometimes the most unexpected friendships are the strongest. This one feels especially fitting for a gathering of Alpha Chi sisters! Haven't finished the book? Come anyway! Capital Crimes is as much about connecting with sisters as it is about discussing a good mystery. Location TBD as it will be based on a location from the book but please RSVP so we can make sure there's plenty of room for all!
A Happy Hour with a purpose. Join your AEA sisters for an evening of suds, sisterhood, and giving back! We're collecting laundry detergent pods to support House of Ruth, a DC nonprofit that helps women, children, and families who have experienced houselessness and abuse. House of Ruth provides safe housing and other resources that help people rebuild their lives and heal. 💜 Come hang out with sisters, make a new connection, and help us make a difference in our community. 🧺 How to Participate Bring a package of laundry detergent pods to donate to House of Ruth. Want to make an even bigger impact? Bring 100+ pods and receive a free drink from the Happy Hour menu! Every donation helps provide essential supplies to the women and families served by House of Ruth. Let's show what it means to be Real. Strong. Women. ❤️💚

Secrets, suspicion & a little D.C. drama! 🔎📚 Join us for our December Capital Crimes Book Club as we discuss Watch Us Fall by Christina Kovac, a suspenseful thriller filled with tangled relationships, hidden truths, and the kind of secrets that refuse to stay buried. Set against the backdrop of Washington, D.C., this psychological thriller will give us plenty to unravel. Who can you trust? What really happened? And how well do we ever know the people around us? Haven't finished the book? Come anyway! Whether you're ready to dissect every twist or just looking forward to an afternoon with your Alpha Chi sisters, there's always a place for you at Capital Crimes. 🎭 Celebrate the holiday season with Alpha Chi sisters at the Little Theatre of Alexandria! We’re especially excited that Alpha Chi Omega alumna Sydney Sinclair will be appearing in the performance. You’re welcome to join us for dinner, the performance, or both. We’ll begin the evening with a casual dinner at Augie’s Mussel House before walking together to the theater for a performance of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol. This event is open to all Alpha Chi Omega alumnae. Bring a date, friend, or fellow Alpha Chi and enjoy a festive evening of sisterhood and the arts. 🍽️ Dinner 6:00 p.m. Augie’s Mussel House & Beer Garden 1106 King Street Alexandria, VA 22314 Dinner will be purchased individually. Because the restaurant requires the entire party to be present before seating, dinner attendees should plan to arrive by 5:45 p.m. We expect to leave the restaurant at approximately 7:25 p.m. to walk to the theater. Dinner space is limited and will be filled in the order registrations are received. 🎭 A Christmas Carol 8:00 p.m. The Little Theatre of Alexandria 600 Wolfe Street Alexandria, VA 22314 The performance runs approximately 90 minutes. Current AEA member ticket: $20 All other attendees: $29 AEA is pleased to subsidize a portion of the ticket price for current dues-paying AEA members as a benefit of membership. 🎟️ How to Reserve Your Ticket Because we'd like to sit together, AEA will purchase theater tickets for the group. Your reservation is complete when both your registration form and Venmo payment have been received. Initial group ticket purchase: November 8 Register and pay by November 8 for the best opportunity to be seated with the Alpha Chi group. Because theater seating is subject to availability, early registration and payment are encouraged. Final ticket deadline: November 14 Registrations received after our initial purchase will be accommodated based on theater availability. Seating with the original Alpha Chi group cannot be guaranteed after November 8. Theater tickets are nonrefundable once purchased. If AEA is unable to purchase your requested ticket due to theater availability, your payment will be returned. Click the RSVP button to REGISTER & RESERVE your ticket. Each year, Alpha Chi Omega celebrates Hera Day by honoring our patron goddess through service to others. It’s a special opportunity to live our values by supporting our local communities and organizations serving survivors of domestic violence. For Hera Day 2027, AEA will gather at DC SAFE to bring a little spring cheer to the community room! We’ll decorate the space for St. Patrick’s Day and help create a bright, welcoming environment for residents.
